On This Date In California Weather History...
1999: During a period starting on 6.3 and ending on this day, a waterspout was observed off Laguna Beach and a funnel cloud was observed one mile off San Clemente.
The mountains of San Diego County recorded the latest measurable snowfall of the season on record.
Mt. Laguna received two to three inches of new snow.
Palomar Mountain recorded 0.5 inch of new snow, the latest measurable snowfall on record for the season.
Big Bear Lake recorded 0.5 inch of new snow, the greatest amount on record for June.
This also occurred on 6.6.1993.
1967: Hail stripped leaves from grape vines and cotton crops in McFarland.
1963: It was 22° in Big Bear Lake, the lowest temperature on record for June.
