showing live video of the Crown Fire, and that the Briggs Fire had burned
into the Station Fire burn area and died out.
The Crown Fire has multiple structure threats, including burning over the
ridge into Palmdale neighborhoods.
From what little I saw, it appears to me that they have no places on this
fire where they can safely use hand crews. The orders have been for Type 1
strike teams for structure protection.
(BTW, I haven't looked at the video or accompanying story on the website,
but on the TV they did identify the fires by incident name and location.)
