The City of Los Angeles, Emergency Management Department is currently implementing updates to the City's Local Hazard Mitigation Plan in order to plan and prepare for future disasters.
The term "mitigation" means any action taken to eliminate or significantly reduce the impacts and/or costs of future hazards.
The Plan details the risks of both natural and man-made hazards prone to the City of Los Angeles, and includes programs and projects that can significantly reduce the loss of life and property should an event occur here in our area.
This Local Hazard Mitigation Plan Questionnaire covers the following topics:
1) Household Demographic Information
2) Basic Local Hazard Knowledge and Your Part in Emergency Preparedness
3) Communications and Media in Emergency Preparedness
The Questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Your responses will be confidential and the information we collect will be used to gauge our readiness to improve our coordination and planning to better serve you in future disasters. All responses must be submitted by Tuesday, September 28, 2010.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan 2010 Questionnaire.
