RE: [californiadisasters] Re: Two Men Sentenced in 2007 Malibu Fire



It depends on the judge involved, current law allows it for consideration (not required).  I mean, afterall, you wouldn’t want to unduly sway the jury in an unfair manner by having the victims be allowed to make comments and cause the defendant to suffer shame or guilt, no?  :-p

I will admit I wasn't following this trial, but after the conviction of the Cedar Fire starter, fire survivors were able to testify at the sentencing hearing. He still only got probation.
