update the winds are constantly shifting ,, fire is now heading towards lake isabella due to wind shift.. friends can see flames from their vantage point..  ffs are staging at mtn mesa across from lake isabella.. winds are blowing in a circle .. first one way then another way .. Joann

yes i was hoping the dc `10 would be available .. also fixed wing cant fly for work
over structures due to heavy smoke.. using helicopters with buckets at this time..

air atack wants the big boys tomorrow, not the little toys as far as the air tankers. The seats are doing nothing for this fire.

sorry this might be a repeat but from wildlandfire.com the fire has crossed caliente - bodfish road at clear creek where is spotted across the road.. possible structure fire. 
air attack will be over the fire at 7am tomorrow morning.. they have about 3 more hours to work on this fire tonite.. Joann

Finally spoke to Janet @ Bald Eagle Ranch.  She is surrounded by fire trucks.  The fire is on two sides of them.  She expects to loose everything but the main house.  Bald Eagle Ranch is down in the Havilah valley on the very north end.
