Date | Time | News and Notes |
10/06/2010 | 0708 | National PL: 2 North Ops PL: 2 MACS Mode: 2 Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 16 fires for 0 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report, ( there may be a 24-hour delay in reporting on the SIT report). There are 6 small fires being managed to achieve multiple objectives (ENF). There are currently no large fires burning in the GACC. Low pressure over Central California will produce showers and thunderstorms over the southern and eastern portions of the North Ops region through early Thursday. Rainfall totals of 0.50-1.50 inches will be common. NW CA will be sunny, warm and dry with locally gusty N-NE winds that will slightly elevate fire danger today, but clouds and isolated showers or thunderstorms may move into NW CA on Wednesday. A Pacific NW low pressure trough may produce light showers in far NW CA Friday night, but the general trend region-wide over the weekend will be for warmer and drier conditions as high pressure dominates. Another trough on Monday will increase winds area-wid and produce clouds and a slight chance of showers near the OR state line followed by dry and warm conditions with locally gusty N-NE winds. Minimal resources committed out of the GACC | |
