[californiadisasters] North Ops News & Notes Update (10/11/10-7AM)
Date | Time | News and Notes |
10/11/10 | 0711 | Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 7 fires for 7 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report, (there may be a 24-hour delay in reporting on the SIT report). There are currently no large fires burning in the GACC. For most areas, the next 6 days will remain quite warm and dry. Although not very likely, the Northern Sierra could see a few thunderstorms Monday afternoon. A strong ridge replacing the trough will generate some moderately strong north wind (10-22 mph, gusts around 30 mph) Monday that will become NE to E Tuesday. These more easterly winds will especially affect LNU and the East Bay Hills with very warm, dry, windy conditions into early Wednesday. Cooler temps and higher RH are expected at the end of the week into next weekend as another low pressure trough approaches the coast and edges the high pressure ridge eastward. |
