Initial Attack Activity was light in the GACC yesterday with 12 fires for 4 acres reported in the Daily Situation Report, (there may be a 24-hour delay in reporting on the SIT report). There were additional fires in Northern California LRA yesterday - they were well publicized in the Sacramento media.

There are 6 small fires being managed to achieve multiple objectives (ENF).
Prescribed burning is occurring where prescriptions are met.

There are currently no large fires burning in the GACC.

The easterly winds will decrease overnight Tuesday. The latter half of the week will be cooler with higher RH/better overnight RH recovery as the high pressure moves east in response to a low pressure trough approaching the coast. Cool dry weather will prevail through the weekend. East Bay hills with very warm, dry, windy conditions into early Wednesday. Cooler temps and higher RH are expected at the end of the week into next weekend as another low pressure trough approaches the coast and edges the high pressure ridge eastward.
