Homecoming tickets are on sale today during lunch in activities. Please remember that you must have your current VVHS ID to purchase your ticket. If you are bringing a guest from another school you will need to have the permission slip filled out and with you when you purchase a ticket. Tickets are $20. They will be on sale all next week. On Friday October 15th the tickets will be $25.00.
Next week is Homecoming week:
- Monday is a spirit day. There will be a carnival in the A concourse beginning at 4:30 PM--we will have SUMO Wrestling, the Game Truck and following the carnival at 6:30 PM will be the Powderpuff game. Tickets are $5.00 and may be purchased at the carnival.
- Tuesday is Twin Day
- Wednesday is "pink out" day. Buy your Pink t-shirt from Ms. Stone for $10.00 at the bookroom window at lunch.
- Thursday is Decades Day: Seniors are the 80's, Juniors are the 70's, Sophomores are the 60's, Freshmen are the 50's and staff and faculty are the year you graduated from high school.
- Friday is dress-up day. We will be on a long assembly schedule for coronation.
- Saturday our football game is at 1:30 PM at Milne and the dance is at 8 PM in our gym.
Wednesday October 13, 2010. PSAT Exam. All sophomores will take the PSAT exam the morning of October 13th. Any juniors who want to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Program should register for the exam by bringing $13 to Mrs. Futey in room E224.
Bowlers - the practice scheduled for this Friday Oct the 8th has been cancelled. Practices resume Tuesday October 12th at Lucky 66 Bowl. This is a very important practice as there will be a parent meeting at 5:30 immediately after practice. Again important bowling practice Oct 12th with a parent meeting to follow. Coaches Perry and Mark expect your attendance.
GSA ANNOUNCEMENT – The Gay-Straight Alliance of VVHS will meet today in Ms. Valdez's room, A203, at lunch. All interested in being a member are welcomed to attend. Bring a friend and we hope to see you there.
Letter jackets will be on sale October 13th. You must bring full payment (check or cash) plus your player for proper fitting 5:30 pm Wednesday the 13th. Jackets vary in price but start at about $290. This is sponsored by the football team. All students are welcome to come.
It's time: Wrap Up a Cure for Cancer Awareness. You can buy your Wrap up a Cure t-shirt to support cancer awareness and wear for the Pink Out Day next Wednesday. Shirts will be on sale today from the bookroom. Shirts are $10 and all proceeds will go to New Mexico's Camp Enchantment. If you have questions please see Ms. Stone.

- Cross Country is in the Metro Tournament at the Academy at 9

- Boys Soccer plays Cleveland here at 1
