[Volcano_Vista_HS] Academic Letter/Star Applications DUE tomorrow

Moderator's Note: Applications were passed out to students who qualify for an Academic Letter (or star for 2nd and 3rd year letters) at the beginning of February and are due tomorrow. If you think your child qualifies and did not receive an application (see rules below), please contact Cindy Webb at 505.890.0343 ext. 37048 and explain the situation to her.

 

Volcano Vista Academic Letter

Application is due: Friday, February 14, 2012 by 2:30 PM

(front office in a Parent Advisory Box)

 

In order to recognize academic achievement, the Volcano Vista High School Parent Advisory Board sponsors the Academic Letter Program. This award is presented once a year to qualified applicants and may be worn on the Volcano Vista High School Letter Jacket. After receiving an Academic Letter, an Excellence Star (one per school year--placed on the letter) is awarded upon the completion of 5 and 7 consecutive semesters in which the student achieves a 3.5 (or higher) GPA.*

 

* Summer School sessions do not count as semesters.

 

PLEASE NOTE that academic letters and stars will be presented at an awards ceremony scheduled at Monday, February 27, 2012 at 7 PM in the VVHS Performing Arts Center.
