[californiadisasters] On This Date In CA Weather History (July 14)



1967: Heavy thunderstorms struck the high desert for the second day in a row.
Major highways were flooded and washed out west of Victorville.

1966: Bakersfield set a record low maximum of 90°.
This is the only day of the entire year where Bakersfield has always had a high temperature of at least 90° in every year since records started in 1893.

1946: Paso Robles set an all-time overnight low for July of 40°.

1886: LA recorded its greatest 24-hour rainfall amount for July at 0.24".
