07/17	1930	Sand Fire, CA-KRN-22306 Kern County, Highway 58 near Tehachapi, 750 acres, 15% contained [ICS-209] Portions of Hwy 58 closed, both directions. Unified command KRN/BLM (CND)   Solo Fire, CA-TIA-2217 Sequoia N.F., On ridge near Solo Peak, Contained at ½ acre by 8 smoke jumpers   Woods Creek Fire, CA-KNP-0072, In Cedar Grove, Sequoia-Kings N. P., 322 acres, 70% contained.
07/16	1600	NICC National Preparedness Level is being reduced to 3 (PL3).    Effective immediately the National Preparedness Level is being reduced to 3 (PL3).  Significant demobilization of all resource types is happening in most geographical areas. Moderating conditions exist in most geographical areas, with lower temperatures and higher relative humidity.  Large fire activity has been reducing daily and containment dates of existing large fires are in the near future.
07/14	0800	No significant activity over last 12 hrs
07/13	2000	Light initial attack today throughout the GACC
07/13	0800	In the last operational period several thousand lightning strikes were detected, mostly east side San Bernardino Mountains into Mohave Desert. All were wet. As of 0800 today no large fires have been reported   A flash flood watch has been issued by the National Weather Service through this evening for the San Bernardino Mountains and Deserts, the Riverside County Mountains, Inland Empire, Santa Ana Mountains, San Diego County Mountains, Coachella Valley and the San Diego County Deserts.
07/12	1120	A small earthquake has rattled the Yucca Valley area of San Bernardino County. The U.S. Geological Survey says the temblor had a preliminary magnitude of 3.9 and was centered two miles southeast of Yucca Valley. Smaller aftershocks followed.
