Rainy weather could delay the search for up to four people believed to be buried by a massive landslide in southeastern British Columbia. 1
At least three homes were engulfed when the landslide sent mud and 100-foot trees rocketing down a dry creek and into Johnsons Landing, B.C., on Thursday morning. 1
About 40 crew members resumed their search Saturday for four individuals who remain unaccounted for after a mudslide swept through a community in southeastern British Columbia. 2
After rain impeded search and rescue efforts earlier Saturday, Bill MacPherson of the Central Kootenay Regional District said experts had determined that the area was safe enough for crews to enter with heavy equipment. 2
