Mistakes and errors happen in every human endeavor and in a high-tension/high-danger environment where conflict is eminent or occurring their will be "friendly-fire" incidents or incidents of mistaken-identity.
Given that cops are being hunted at present they can be forgiven for being nervous.
That some people were erroneously shot is not acceptable and undoubtedly their will be investigations and court settlements and such.
That cops are the problem is not an idear to which I cotton.
I would suggest that we would all be feeling even less comfortable if they weren't around, especially in light of the onerous gun regulations already in place in the People's Republic of Kalifornia.
Limousine Liberals in Sacramento who as Elites are protected by all sorts of weapons both legal and banned for civilian ownership wielded by taxpayer-provided state security constabulary.
These self-same Elites are about to add to that onerous burden on We The People for purposes of making political hay off recent tragedy Back East.

Let's not forget the 3 civilians who have been shot so far, for being in the wrong type of truck. All the LAPD has had to say about that was "it was a tragic mistake." so the count is Bad guy 2 LAPD 3. Not a score to make one feel comfortable about having the police around.
