07/08	0730	Congratulations to Shawna Legarza who has been offered and accepted the position of Deputy-Director region V Fire and Aviation Management. Congratulations to Sean Aidukas who has accepted the night helicopter operations specialist position and congratulations to Josh Mathiesen who is the new Smoke Jumper base-manager in Redding.
07/08	0730	Lebec Fire CA-KRN-22215 Lebec Oaks Rd/I-5 Fire is at 300 acres with 50% containment. The small community at Oneal Canyon was evacuated but has been allowed back in. Fire is in rugged terrain with limited access
07/08	0730	Chariot Fire CA-MVU-014084 Chariot Canyon Road and Oriflamme Canyon Road, East of Julian The fire has burned 2500 acres and is 20% contained. Fire remains a threat to El Prado, Forest Haven, Campoli, and Mt. Laguna campgrounds as well as the Al Bahr Shrine Camp and Foster Lodge. Communication tower on top of monument peak also at risk. Access continues to be limited with firefighters continuing to be shuttled in via helicopters.
