Notes:		At 3:30 PM on this date in 1971 an arsonist set a fire above Summerland/Carpenteria in the Santa Barbara area. The fire went on to burn 14,500 acres and a number of homes in the area. On Day Two of the fire four members of a dozer team were killed in an entrapment situation, to wit, three USFS employees and one private dozer operator and two other dozer team members were seriously burned.
