"The following Tankers have been reported working the "Dog Rock" fire burning about 3-5 miles from the Yosemite park entrance. S2T's #81,#82,#83. Heavy Tankers #07, #41 and #105. Heavy Tankers should have been working out of Fresno while the S2's may have been loading out of Grass Valley. CalFire has grounded all S2's at this time. Fire started at 15:30 local near highway 140 and El Portal,CA. Fire has burned about 150 acres and is burning in the Merced River Canyon and is burning in a Northerly direction. Fire is not expected to do much as it is burning between areas burned by the "El Portal Fire" and "Big Meadows Fire". Tanker was reported down at 16:26 local and was reported by many residents in the area that heard a loud boom, CHP officer also reported debris on highway 140 (not know if this from the accident or vegetation debrie). Search and Rescue crews reached the crash site at 19:55 local. No news on the pilot. Pray for some good news."
