[californiadisasters] [LAFD] The Fire Weather Forecast for Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES- The danger of brush fires has returned to Southern California.
To assist you in preparing for wildfire, the Los Angeles Fire Department encourages you to view regional Fire Weather reports, issued twice daily by the National Weather Service.
We remind you that these regional reports are separate from any local declaration that may enact special Red Flag Alert Parking Restrictions in the City of Los Angeles.
To best protect you, Los Angeles Firefighters continuously analyze the "Fire Environment Triangle", including the balance of weather, terrain, and fuel, which dictate the fire hazard for a geographic region. Within these regions, local agencies - such as the Los Angeles Fire Department, may independently assess wildfire danger and enact local programs and restrictions.
While terrain is studied and many hazards held in check by our annual Brush Clearance Program, the LAFD asks you to stay aware of local fire weather and Red Flag Alert Parking Restrictions.
Personal awareness of wildfire danger, combined with your readiness to take quick action in the event of a brush fire remain our collective key to survival. Additional information posted here:
