SENIORS: It is time to choose your class song, motto and flower. You may stop by activities and pick up a nomination form. You will be voting during advisory next Tuesday. You will also be receiving information about senior announcements and cap and gowns for graduation. Please plan to attend.
HOMECOMING: Sign-up for Powderpuff in the activities office at lunch today. All forms must be turned into the Activities Office by Friday at 2:30. This activity is open to juniors and seniors who meet the NMAA qualifications.
All permission slips for Powderpuff participants are due on Friday to the activities office. There will be a mandatory meeting on Monday in the lecture hall at lunch for all participants. If you do not attend this meeting you will be eliminated from the fun! Students who attend CEC need to stop by the activities office and let Mrs. Weidner know why you won't be at the meeting

Academic Decathlon Would you consider yourself an American Gladiator? No? Then you need to visit E113 this Friday at lunch to learn about Academic Decathlon, a 10 subject throwdown competition created to build and tone muscles...brain muscles. You can meet new people, learn awesome new stuff, and compete to make your school proud. Again, that's an Academic Decathlon informational meeting this Friday at lunch in E113.

COUNSELING:
Seniors, the Horatio Alger Scholarship program is for students who have a financial need and have exhibited perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. The awards range from $7,000-22,000. The deadline to apply is October 25. See the Career Center in Rm. E224 or go to the website, www.horatioalger.org/scholarships, for more information.
ATHLETICS
BOYS SOCCER: They will play Santa Fe on Saturday at 11.
VOLLEYBALL: plays tonight in The Ring of Fire against Rio Rancho at 6:30
XC: will run in the La Cueva Invite on Saturday at 8:00am
FOOTBALL: Football will play West Mesa at Community Stadium on Friday at 7. We will be on the home team. It is the teams pink-out game to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everyone wear pink
Be sure to wear Pink and Black tomorrow for spirit day.
Next week is Fall Break on Thursday and Friday. We will be playing the Cibola Cougars on Friday the 10th so we are planning a spirit week:
Monday: Out Smart Cibola- dress like a nerd.
Tuesday: Hunt the Cougars- dress in camo or safari cloths
Wednesday: Hawk Nation – wear black
