January 5, 2015 View this email in your browser Register today for Grant Application Training Register today for CFSC's 2015 Grant Application Training to gain a better understanding of the grant application process including about the new ZoomGrants system, federal grant regulations/requirements, grant program information and submitting a competitive grant application. It is strongly recommended that all applicants, new and returning, attend one of the workshops. In addition to the vital training, attendees have an opportunity to network with other applicants and share ideas, tips and successes.   Each organization will receive one copy of the comprehensive Grant Application Training Handbook with slides, notes and additional resources.   The trainings are from 10:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be served at all trainings. Registration is required by January 5, 2015 to reserve your spot and lunch.   January 8, 2015 Angeles National Forest Office, Arcadia, CA Register here January 13, 2015 Carmel Highlands Fire Station, Carmel, CA  Register here January 15, 2015 Wildland Fire Training Center, McClellan, CA Register here January 16, 2015 Shasta-Trinity National Forest Office, Redding, CA Register here    2015 Grant Cycle Timeline   January 8 – Grant Clearinghouse opens for online applications & Request for Applications (RFA) available on CFSC website January 8 – 16 – Grant Application Training scheduled at various locations February 19, 5:00 p.m. – Deadline to submit grant applications (Supporting documentation, such as Letters of Commitment, must be uploaded to ZoomGrants. No mailed, emailed or faxed documentation will be accepted.)   Stay tuned to the CFSC website for more details including the RFA and additional resources which will be posted on our website on January 8, 2015. New Online Grants Clearinghouse CFSC has transitioned to new grant application software, called ZoomGrants, which you will use for the 2015 Grants Clearinghouse. If you have not already created your account in ZoomGrants, go to http://www.cafiresafecouncil.org/zoomgrantslogin and create an account for your organization. Each organization submitting an application must have its own ZoomGrants account.
