[Attachment(s) from Steven Nation included below]Daughter Nicole (Nikki) Stevens, Captain with Santa Barbara County Fire Department, is working this fire and has sent me some great photos and videos of air tankers in action. Here's one of presumably #911 dropping near Coulterville, CA with lead plane banking off in the distance taken on Thursday or Friday. Not too bad for shooting with iPhone and in full turnouts. Heavy smoke and smoke inversion has grounded Tankers from working the fire. The town of Mariposa was lifted off of the evacuation order.Tankers: #62.#105,#911 at Castle. (at least one Bae-146 did not get number).Fresno: Maffs 4,6,9 C-130 #116. Also heard that Castle ran out of Jet-Fuel on Thursday or Friday and aircraft had to go too Mather Field (Sacramento) for fuel for a short time.

[californiadisasters] Re: Detwiler Incident - MMU - Mariposa Co.
Columbia Air Attack Base is unable to launch tankers due to "weather conditions." I assume that means it is smoked in?
Also, the fire is now up to 45,724 officially with 7% containment. However, an IR flight map from last night places it unofficially at 54,724. Could they have goofed and switched the 4 and 5? Fire is already moving out this morning. On Tue, Jul 18, 2017 at 8:03 PM, Kim Noyes <kimnoyes@gmail.com> wrote:
