The teenage daughter of some friends started to tell me about her broken arm
by saying, "I was electrocuted."
I interrupted, "No, you weren't. If you'd been electrocuted you wouldn't be
telling me about it."
(Fact is, she'd received a jolt big enough to contract all her arm muscles
and break bones!)
Same thing as drowning. CPR has never saved a drowning victim, although it
has saved many from being drowning victims.
(And btw, it's "drowning", never "drowneding." Another common mistake.)

I have been wondering about meaning of the word electrocuted and after
looking it up, I think you meant to say he was nearly electrocuted,
since if he really was he would be dead.
