Student Senate would like to thank everyone who helped to make this homecoming such a great success. Thanks for participating.

Congratulations to this week's students that were recognized for demonstrating the core values of our school Safety, Organization, Achievement and Respect.  Way to SOAR!   The following are the six students that were randomly drawn for our weekly prize:

• Matt Walters – Recognized by Ms. Mendez

This week's winners receive United Artist Movie gift cards.

Attention VVHS Hawks - did you realize that during the 1st 6 week grading period, over 50% of the student body received a 3.0 GPA or higher and over 25% received a 3.5 GPA or higher.  Great work Hawks.  Now let's all work to improve those numbers - our goal next semester is to have 60% of the student body over a 3.0 GPA and 35% over a 3.5 GPA.  Go for it Hawks!

NHS: All lunch tutoring will be in E203 on Tuesday. Check your sign-up for Thursday.

Thespians who have signed up to sell pizza during lunch this week need to see Mr. Finn to get a pass so that you may leave class early before lunch.

Thank you for being so responsible and remember to tell your friends about the upcoming production of THE KING AND I this 18th, 19th, and 20th of November in our new theatre.

Attention girls: The 2011 track and field team will be having an informational meeting on Friday October 22, 2010.  It will be in the lecture room at lunch.  Come meet your new coach and get information about the season.  See you there

there will be a info meeting for students interested in trying out for the swim team on October 29th at West Mesa Aquatic Center @ 3:30, and try-outs will begin November 1st @ 3:30 at West Mesa Aquatic Center.

Athletics:

Open gym today for Girls Basketball is from 3 to 4:15 pm.
