Re: [californiadisasters] Record-High Temperatures Expected

While living in MD, I took a trip "home" to Upstate NY. One evening, my
teenage sister needed something from the car. Out she went, barefoot, into
temp about +10F, three feet of snow on the lawn (layered with ice from the
midday thawing) and a skim of ice on the walkway.

Back inside she said, "I shouldn't go out there barefoot; too slippery."

(Not my style: I wear boots in all weather--except to my decennial trip to
the beach.)

My
feet still never get cold. I swear I have Hobbit feet, sans the hair.
