[Volcano_Vista_HS] Pep Rally For Stadium/Sports Plex

When: This Sunday, April 17th, 3pm

Where: At the site– 98th (just to the west) & I-40 (north of)

Why: To show that there is support. We know that many of you have been at events discussing the stadium and have been drowned out by rhetoric. As usual, the media is focusing on the negative.

It is very important to have as many supporters there as possible.

Please spread the word to all youth athletic programs, as the site will house football, soccer, baseball, softball and track & field. An 81 acre city sportsplex will be built adjacent to the APS Sportsplex. An education complex will be built just north of the APS Sportsplex, featuring a new high school and K-8.

Fact: The stadium will be built 8 football fields away from the nearest home & will be sunk. Lights will be extremely sensitive & have very little light trespass. The site was to originally planned to be high intensity development, with commercial development & apartments. This is not sprawl...it's contiguous development that it desperately needed to serve our community!
