On This Date In California Weather History....

1984: An area of low pressure generated strong gusty winds of over 70 mph across the southern Sierra Nevada knocking down numerous trees.

1962: First of six days with dense fog observed at Fresno.
This set a record for the most days with dense fog observed in the month of October at Fresno.
