2004: Heavy snow blanketed the Sierra from the 19th through the 21st.
Two climbers died in Yosemite National Park climbing the El Capitan Face.
Storm totals included 45" at Blackcap Basin, 40" at Gin Flat and 39" at Agnew Pass.
1991: It was 111° in Palm Springs, the latest date in the season to record 110° or higher.
1972: A violent thunderstorm struck Redlands with two hours of heavy rain and hail.
Officially at the Redlands gauge, 0.55 inch fell. Intersections in Redlands were flooded.
1966: Reno, NV had a morning low of 19.
1949: Fresno had its earliest freezing minimum, 30 degrees.
Damage occurred to vegetables and tender vegetation in the Valley.
