Residents not used to this heat should be extra cautious with outdoor activities as warm conditions to the region today.  Highs will reach or exceed 100 degrees in some of the Valley and Desert regions, while locations just a few miles from the Coast may reach the 90s. The beaches may even reach the upper 80s to low 90s. It is anticipated that temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees above normal for this period
