On This Date In California Weather History....

1980: It was 88° in Victorville, the highest temperature on record for November.
This also occurred on 11.9.1917.

1961: The morning low temperature at Reno, NV was 9.

1961: Strong Santa Ana winds that started on 11.5 and ended on this day fanned fires in Bel Air, Brentwood, and Topanga Canyon.
It was 74° at 10 pm the previous night in LA with a dew point of 5°.
3% relative humidity was reported in Burbank on this day.
103 fire fighters were injured.
$100 million in economic losses included 484 buildings (mostly residential) and 6,090 destroyed acres.

1960: A general 1 to 2 inches of rain fell in the San Joaquin Valley, causing damage to unharvested cotton, grapes and maize.

1935: It was 26° in Escondido, the lowest temperature on record for November.
