Yearbooks are on sale in the Activities Office during lunch for $65.00 until April 20th. From April 24th books will be $70.00. Remember we sold out last year.
There will be no meeting for Creative Writing Club after school today, April 12th. We will meet again next Thursday, April 19th. Today's meeting is canceled.
SENIORS: You wish you were one two because it's time for the senior picnic and this is a seniors only event. The picnic is on April 24th. There will be Barbeque from Rudy's, a Bungee Run, Mondo Boxing and Jousting, your fabulous Senior t-shirt and you can get your yearbook early. Not only that, but we will be putting together our Class of 2012 time capsule to be opened at your 10 year reunion. You can buy your ticket starting Monday April 16th in the bookroom during lunch. Cost is $10 and you must have your student ID to purchase a ticket. This is one of your last opportunities to gather together and make memories that last a lifetime!
Academic Decathlon is now accepting applications for next year's team. If you are interested in joining this prestigious club, please see Mr. Riggs in H215 to pick up an application. As the author Napoleon Hill wrote, "Action is the real measure of intelligence.
Converge will meet during lunch Tuesday, April 17, in Room F211. Please come to share in the fellowship and study the Word of God. All are welcome to attend.

Educators Enjoying Art is in the library. It is an art show featuring work by the staff.
SENIORS IN NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Your final paperwork for the semester is due on Monday, April 16th, at lunch. Meet in Mrs. Jones' room to turn in your tutoring and community service hours and learn about the Induction Ceremony on April 25th. This is the last meeting of the year for Seniors, it is mandatory, and all paperwork is due at this meeting. If you missed the Hawk Clean-Up activity last week, you need to talk to Mrs. Jones about an alternative clean-up date before April 16th.
JUNIORS IN NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: A mandatory meeting will be held in Ms. Torres' room, H209, during lunch on Monday, April 16th. Information on the Induction Ceremony and other important items will be discussed. Please attend.

FASHION SHOW: Thursday Prom fashion show in the PAC at 11:15 ...come see the hot looks for the dance. All Donations will go to the Mel Phipps fund.
Best Buds will have an important meeting on Friday during lunch in E102.
The Geo/Astro teachers are excited to host The Albuquerque Astronomical Society's Star Party at our school in 2 weeks! This event will run from 7:30-9:30 pm in H-hall (including the main theatre) and the parking lot behind H-hall. This event is open to the public, but we'd like to make sure that all VVHS science students have the opportunity to attend.
Seniors: If you are receiving a scholarship please stop by activities or Mrs. Futey's office in E224 to fill out a form so we can be sure to recognize you for your success.
Volcano Vista is hosting a Blood Drive on Saturday April 14th from 10 to 2. Sign ups are by appointment only so please visit the ROTC conference room during lunch to lock in your time.
Senate will be starting a fundraiser for Mel Phipps' family beginning Wednesday in your 5th period class to help his family with medical expenses.
Prom Tickets will go on sale April 17th thru the 20th for $20.00. April 23 -27 they will be $25.00. You must have your student ID to purchase a ticket. Prom tickets will be sold to juniors and seniors only
PING PONG TOURNAMENT
The tournament is at lunch starting April 16th and continuing that week. Sign up with Mr. Zimmerman in A103 or Mrs. Bullard in A101. All proceeds will go tohelp with medical expenses of the Phipps' family

- Baseball has a double header with Cleveland at 1 and 3:30.
