George Fire CA-SQF-1384 National Monument, Sequoia National Forest 

Central Sierra Type 2 IMT (Cooper) remains in command.

Fire remains 1,800 acres and is 65% contained Fire continues backing downhill on to a rock escarpment in the open section of line. IR shows increased activity in the NW section of the fire. Terrain in this area is steep and has more available fuel for the fire to work its way to the Little Kern Drainage, as the fire moves into this area line construction will be minimal to nonexistent.
24 hours. A Possible wind event between 1400 and 2000 is a safety concern from increased spotting potential in the Little Kern Drainage,has potential to impact Golden Trout fisheries.
