It is quite en vogue in the U.S. nowadays and now going on a few decades for individuals or groups of individuals to self-identify with a particular ethnic extraction. This is done despite the fact nearly all of us are hybrids derived from multiple ethnic extractions, myself included. Of those ethnicities, a segment of people from any one of them will invariably attempt to derive an artificial sense of moral superiority and self-importance not to mention perhaps a sense of personal identity by attaching a heightened sense of connection to some past atrocity or injustice to which their self-identified ethnicity was a victim in the past: emphasis on PAST.
From there such individuals or a subset group from the greater ethnicity (the majority of said ethnicity being far too busy living in the here and now just taking care of business to care to shit-stir regarding the past) will then go out of their way to play "gotcha." This is accomplished by hanging on every word of other people not in their own self-identified ethnic group. They do this frantically hoping they can catch them saying something they hope to use to make them feel guilty for saying what they did and for what happened in history, many generations ago. Consequently, such wretches (I would have preferred to say "untermenschen" but I don't wish to offend your delicate sensitivities :-p ) manage to pick the scabs of the past thus slowing healing, manage to make people with no malicious intent feel guilt and uncomfortable, dumb down the public discourse and make society more course, not less so, all the while NOT actually making themselves superior or more enlightened or anything else redeeming but rather quite the opposite. I say a pox on these contentious and small-minded guilt-mongerers!

I have been watching the REACT thread with interest, dismay and, increasing BOREDOM. I just read the Moterators comments and we should all take THAT serious, specially since he signs in a Old Style WW2 German phraseology {sp?} I have relatives who were in the Camps in that War and they learned fast not to piss off Authorities who talked like that!!! LOL Please don't get pissed Kim. It is a serious use of dark Humor.
I would also like to suggest and ask something. I, like our OberFurher, belong to many Yahoo Groups and it happens on most until the moderator cuts it off.
For example,I recently posted about "Help Needed for Possible New Radio".
That started about 3 diffetent discussions over a few days abuut the training proficiency or lack thereof of different groups, the use or useleness of diffetent Frequencies and Bands which got quite heated and, personal opinions about others suggestions! Trouble was that everybody used my original Thread Title even though nobody actually discussed what I asked for????? Except Wayne I think.
I even tried to contain it back to my original thread and apologised for not being more clear. I just wanted supporting emails for Sam to send to Alinco. Or not if you did not agree. Sam and I have nothing to do with Alinco by the way! We and many others just think that Radio would be good to have available on the market.
I only use that as an example, this happens ALL THE TIME with many different Threads.
If you want to hijack a Thread, come up with your own Title.
Also, please delete or erase most of the previous discussion on a thread you add to so there is not endless repetition of same wordage.
