Good Morning Hawks

Today is May 11th

 

We have 3 yearbooks left. You may purchase a book for $70.00 before school or during lunch in the activities office.

 

The AP English Language and Composition exam is scheduled for Wednesday and World History is scheduled for Thursday of this week.  It is a good idea to bring a lunch from home.  Rosters will be posted outside E216 so you can double check your room assignment.

 

Student's summer school registration has begun.  If you are in need of credit recovery, please see your counselor for registration packets.

 

Overdue and fine notices went out during second period yesterday.  Over 400 students have overdue books...some from August and September!  Let's get everything turned in and paid for so you won't have an extra hour or two at registration next fall.

 

Seniors if you have received any scholarships please stop by your academy office and fill out the scholarship form so that we may add it to the program for the Honors Assembly. Please have everything turned in by Thursday.

 

Seniors remember all library books, textbooks, fines, lab fees and CNM textbooks MUST be turned in before receiving your cap and gown.  You may return any textbooks you are not using ASAP.

 

SENIOR GRAD PARTY TICKETS ON SALE Wednesday DURING LUNCH IN THE ACTIVITIES OFFICE

 

Grad Nite is on May 22nd from 11pm to 6am at ITZ for $40 a per person and you may bring a guest. Once you leave the event you will not be allowed to return. You do not have to stay the entire time.

 

• Please have you school ID when purchasing a ticket and entering grad party
  
• The same rules for dances will be enforced at the Grad Party
• Safety and Responsibility Form" must be signed by parent if you are under 18 on  May 22 

 

Athletics:

 

Tryout for the Talons Dance Team! Tryouts will be held after school Tuesday May 11 through Friday May 14. Tryout packets are available in the main office.

 

Hey!  Are you ready to cheer for the best school in the state?  Tryouts for the Volcano Vista H.S. Cheerleaders begin Tuesday, May 11th through Thursday, May 13th, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Log on to the Volcano Vista Hawks website or see Coach Nord to get an application and a physical form.  Must have physical completed before trying out!  See you there!  GO HAWKS
