Notes:		On this morning in 1991 a moderate M5.8 earthquake jolted the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County killing two people, injuring 100 people and causing $40 million in damage. This event was caused by a rupture of an offshoot of the very large and dangerous Sierra Madre Fault Zone known as the Clamshell-Sawpit Canyon Fault.
