Any senior interested in signing up for Homecoming Court stop by the Activities Office at lunch and pick up an application. You must be classified as a senior, have at least a 2.0 GPA and be involved in at least one activity at VVHS and meet NMAA eligibility requirements. There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, September 14 at lunch in the lecture hall.
Hawks Helping Hands will be having a meeting today in room A201 during lunch.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY: Our next meeting is Monday, Sept 13, in the Lecture Hall at lunch. You will sign in with your assigned group, Service, Fund Raising, or Tutoring. The required annual fundraiser will be discussed. Participation is mandatory. See you Monday at lunch in the Lecture Hall.

"Auditions to model in the 2010 VVHS Homecoming Fashion show are today, Thursday Sept. 9th, at lunch in F225 and Friday September 10. The theme of our fashion show is "New York City", we will have decorations, spotlights, beautiful dresses, sharp tuxes, and even a DJ!!! Come show us what youâve got by walking down our 'runway' inside Mrs. Bergsten's classroom, F225. If you don't audition, you cannot model in the show.
There is a required meeting for all members of the Spanish National Honor Society on Tuesday, Sept 14th in room E112 at lunch. This meeting is required to earn a letter or cord; all members must attend.
Any freshman interested in running for class office or senate, today is the last day to sign-up in the activities. There will be a mandatory meeting of all freshmen class candidates in the Lecture Hall at lunch on tomorrow. That means if you donât go to the Friday meeting you donât get to run for office.
Parking passes will be on sale at 7am and at lunch today in the Activities Office. Passes are $35.00. After Labor Day parking passes may be purchased on Tuesdayâs and Thursdayâs at lunch in the Activities Office.
Security is currently tagging and booting cars that do not have parking passes displayed. It is $50.00 to have a boot removed from your car.
Teachers:
Recycling will be collected today and every Thursday during 6th period. Please place your boxes of recyclable items including paper, plastics and aluminum outside of your classrooms and they will be picked up. Help us GO GREEN!
BLOOD DRIVE: We will be having a blood drive on Wednesday, September 15. You must be 16 and weigh at least 110 lbs. Stop by Activities to sign up.

Attention Senior Parents! Join us on Wednesday, September 15th at 6:30 PM for Senior Parent Night. Presentations will include the senior timeline, the financial aid process and choosing the right college. There will also be representatives from the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University and Central New Mexico Community College. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact your academy counselor.
UNM-Main Campus is excited to announce our annual Senior Day! As our largest single recruitment event of the year, Senior Day 2010 will allow high school seniors and their guests to participate in workshops, campus & housing tours, fin. aid presentations, an information fair, department open house, and more -- including free lunch for all and free T-shirts for the seniors.
