On This Date In California Weather History...
1967: Heavy thunderstorms struck the high desert for the second day in a row.
Major highways were flooded and washed out west of Victorville.
1966: Bakersfield set a record low maximum of 90 degrees.
This is the only day of the entire year where Bakersfield has always had a high temperature of at least 90 degrees in every year since records started in 1893.
1886: LA recorded its greatest 24-hour rainfall amount for July at 0.24 inch.
