Cheers Lin. I'm glad it's a new day as I was probably bogg-eyed when sending that last e-mail, lol.
As even those with P.h.D's can come out with nonsense that appears to be true (at least to their way of thinking), I think it shows just how easy it is for people to be sidetracked.
So it is very useful that groups such as this can correct that. I just hope that the person concerned (and future posters who may make similar mistakes) shall learn from the experience and that their knowledge can be enhanced as a result.
Regards,
Mark.

Mark,
I've seen this kind of thing far too much in the years I've been modding science or fact based groups. There's always an element of mysticism involved in that pseudo-science, which renders it exactly that. I've seen PhD's post junk like this and they believed it. Usually, like this fellow, the theorists take a little science, enough to sound officious, and blend in what they THINK is reality. No scientific method. No literature or valid peer base to back the ideas. Nada. There are three realms of thought in the world: physical, metaphysical, and epistemological. Blending any 2 or all 3 produces much the same results as those streams crossing in the movie, "Ghostbusters." You get chaos. And entropy has already claimed too much of the universe to suit my taste. :-) Now, relax and rest. Your day is over and ours is heading in that direction. And, as always, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I've been very busy and so am just reading these posts now.
It's possible that certain outlandish posters whether it be here occasionally or elsewhere are just sometimes naive and have been mislead by others. There is a lot of sensationalised stuff online and on satellite TV channels, so perhaps this was an honest mistake, (if that isn't me being naive also, lol). If you're easily lead and to trusting you can believe a lot of pseudo-science as it's presented as true and often it looks convincing to the untrained eye!

Mark.

Hey Bill,
I agree with Rick. I wouldn't worry at all about it. Pravin's site is all mumbo jumbo and he needs embarrassing. In fact he begs for it. I had hoped that other members of this very elite group would chime in and further embarrass Pravin. He is a human and deserves respect for that, but the guy is misleading the uneducated. His story is all about the blind leading the blind. And you and Rog are both very welcome. You all are such good folks and I do get very protective when I see crap like this. Can't help it. ;-)

But yah, I did the same thing last week, a message for the admin group with snarky comments was sent to the sender, OOPS. Busted. The individual in question here has been placed on moderation pending their appropriate response. Any attempt to extend such drivel from this person will result in banishment. In case there is a language difficulty, do NOT send us this nonsense again; drop it or leave. We're here for actual science, not for places with a green sky and pink trees. There is an appropriate place for this sort of material, it's in the field and forest with the other male bovine fecal matter. At least there, it has the potential of making the plants healthier and prettier. It has no place here. Rick PS Yes, I could be more direct. From: coyote I apologize to everyone, especially the original poster Pravin. I intended to send my message only to Lin, and now I feel terrible. And thank you for taking the time to read the nut's website (personally I assumed that what you found would be the case). I can see how it would be inconvenient to need to post a warning every time the nut posts...but I also feel sorry for him, and wonder if we couldn't let him occasionally embarrass himself while inconveniencing us, just so he wouldn't have to babble all alone. -- Roxxfoxx~~Adventures in GeologyPenguin News Today Penguinology: The Science of PenguinsGentoo Penguins of Gars O'Higgins Station, Antarctica Canis lupus 101 Dances with WerewolveThrough Golden Eyes
