Figueroa Fire (CA-LPF-2238) 698 acres, 70% contained. Very little movement expected.

Evacuation orders have been lifted

Only residents will be allowed in the evacuation area and must show proof

of residency, such as a driver's license or a utility bill with a physical address.

The American Red Cross shelter is closed

Per Caltrans, the northbound #1 lane is closed and expected to be open by 6:00 p.m.

The southbound #1 lane remains closed.

Hill CA-BDF-12829 Oak Hills, San Bernardino County

Incident is Unified Command (Wakoski, Chambers, Corley) Per BDF ECC

Fire has burned 1,100 acres of Chaparral, Pinyon-juniper woodland and grass and is 30% Contained. Minimal fire behavior observed overnight. 2 mobile homes were destroyed and 2 other structures were damaged. 1500 residences, 100 commercial properties, and 500 outbuildings remain threatened in the Communities of Oak Hills, Baldy Mesa and Phelan. 

The following critical infrastructure remains threatened: Interstate 15, 40 KV transmission lines (Dept of Water and Power), Kinder Morgan gas pipelines, Southern Ca Edison utilities, Southern CA Gas utilities. Critical resource needs are being met.

Fire burning under High Tension Power Lines

Edison will not be shutting down the lines

High pressure gas and fuel transmission lines in the area

Cal Trans advising SB I-15 will be closed until morning

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.2 was felt across the Los Angeles area this afternoon. The quake was centered four miles east southeast of Newhall at 1347 hours PT. The earthquake was felt all across the Los Angeles area, including Long Beach, Woodland Hills and Burbank. There was no immediate report of injury or damage.

Motor Fire tentatively has scheduled a transition of this incident back to the respective forest on Friday September 2nd 0600 hrs

Operations Southern California is mobilizing resources (Aircraft, Misc. Overhead and Equipment) out of region to Southern Area this includes the 3 CL215 T/3 Air tankers (AT-262, AT-264, AT-266)
