Straight-talking Josh tells earthquakes to go away
07/01/2012
Josh Salisbury, 4, of St Albans sending his message straight to the source.
A Christchurch boy has found a way to vent his frustration at the earthquakes.
Rachael Mason, of St Albans, said her 4-year-old son, Josh Salisbury, has asked: "Mummy, how do I get underground to tell the earthquakes off?".
Mason's solution was to push a metal pipe into the ground, which Josh used to admonish the quakes.
"He tells them to be still because they're frightening his little sister and he doesn't like it when they shake his toys down," she said.
"My 2-year-old daughter gets frightened because she doesn't understand what's going on, but not Josh. He's a very brave little boy."
