06/26/2012	1600	In Memoriam - On June 26, 1990, six firefighters perished in Walk Moore Canyon on the Dude Fire north of Payson, AZ. This tragic event inspired Paul Gleason to propose the LCES system (Lookouts, Communication, Escape Routes, and Safety Zones) that is a standard safety protocol for wildland firefighters today.
