Fire near Soulsbyville
Firefighters are battling a large fire between Soulsbyville and Tuolumne that is threatening, and may have burned, structures. The acreage of the blaze was unavailable. Cal Fire dispatchers gave the address as 19195 Armario Road, Soulsbyville.Callers to the Union Democrat say at least part of it is burning near the Cover Ranch. The fire knocked to power in Tuolumne and possibly other areas. Jolene Cover, wife of ranch manager Ben Cover, says the family is watching it carefuly. It's burbing near the family's OId Brethern Church. The Union Democrat will post information as it becomes available. |
25 to 30 acres burning in the area of Tuolumne Rd and Cherokee Rd north of the Black Oak Casino. Structures are burning, but since I just tuined in, I have little to add.
Air Attack reports the fire no longer running, may have a handle. Red cross reportedly requested for some residents evaced. NFD as yet
