Wildfire, floods create firewood bonanza at Lake Shasta

Nick Vasquez, left, and his grandson, Jeremiah Wilkes, 17, both of Anderson, load firewood into their trailer at Lake Shasta. The wood was damaged in last summr's Bagley Fire in the hills above Squaw Creek and was washed into the lake by winter floods.

After a journey through wildfire, storms and floods, acres of debris are now available for free on Lake Shasta.
