[californiadisasters] North Ops News & Notes Update (9/13/13-6PM)

CA-SHU Clover Fire:8,073 acres, 85% contained. Expected containment 09/15/2013. Smith, CAL FIRE Team 5. Repopulation plan continues with some residents allowed to return to their homes. Significant demobilization of incident resources began today.

CA-SCU Morgan Fire: 3,111 acres, 95% contained. Expected containment 09/13/2013. Marcucci, ICT3. Significant demobilization of resources and closure of base camp is occuring. Suppression repair continues to make progress.

CA-SRF Corral Complex: 12,491 acres, 79% contained. Expected containment 09/20/2013. Franklin, ICT3. Continued backing fire, rollout and spread, especially on southwest-west facing slopes on the upper 1/3rd of slopes. Complexity of organization is now Type III. There is 10 miles of direct open fire line due to inaccessible terrain. There are two active areas along the southwestern fire perimeter within 0.8 miles of primary indirect line. A cooling trend is expected to begin this weekend bringing cooler temperatures and higher RH.

CA-KNF Forks Complex: 36,801 acres, 68% contained. Expected containment 10/10/2013. Herald, ICT3. Resources continue to make significant progress with suppression repair operations. Resources will continue to patrol the Salmon River Road, mop up to 300 ft. where completion can be made safely. Resources will continue to patrol the Salmon River Road, mop up and prepare for potential burnout operations. Fire activity will continue to be monitored in Nordheimer drainage.

Increased initial attack activity being reported on Lassen, Shasta-Trinity, Plumas, Tahoe and Eldorado National Forests as lightning moves through the area.  Fires are remaining small.  Precipitation is being reported in some areas.
