Dense fog Advisory Orange County Coastal areas-San Diego County Coastal areas

Areas of dense fog redeveloping late tonight with visibility

Dropping to one-quarter mile or less at times.

Monday through Wednesday areas of dense fog with visibility 1/4

Mile or less at times nights and mornings creating locally

Hazardous travel and possible delays at the coastal airports.

 

Dry conditions will continue through most of next week for inland areas

There will be little change in the weather through next weekend

Temperatures across the mountains will stay mainly in the upper 60s

and 70s with valley locations in the 80s to low 90s.

Great California Shake out earthquake drill.

Today October 17th at 10:17 a.m. people in schools, businesses, government

offices, organizations, and households will practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" and other

aspects of their emergency plans in the annual Great California Shake Out earthquake drill.

National weather service Los Angeles/Oxnard CA issued a wind advisory for

Gusty Santa Ana winds over portions of southwestern California today.

Offshore wind gusts to 35 mph with single digit RH can be expected with poor RH recovery expected tonight.  Temperatures will reach the lower 90s over portions of Southern California the next two days.  Other areas will see temperatures 5-8 degrees above normal through the week.  Winds will decrease late Wednesday afternoon.  No wetting rains are expected the next 7-10 days.
