The Santa Lucia Rockhounds are proud to announce that this months guest speaker will be Jim Fritsche, coordinator for the North San Luis Obispo County CERT program hosted by the Atascadero Fire Department. He will give a talk and power point presentation this coming Monday night at the Pioneer Museum at 2010 Riverside Road in Paso Robles, just south of the Mid-State Fairgrounds. The meeting is open to the public and will commence at 7 p.m.
On the heels of last month's 10-year anniversary of the San Simeon Earthquake and last week's 20-year anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake he will discuss the disaster history of the Central Coast and how local residents can be better prepared for next big disaster. He will also discuss CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Teams) and how they benefit the individual and their family and neighborhood and community.
