This is happening a lot more, recently. Most email providers, cloud accounts like iTunes and Amazon, etc., and it's all people from other countries, because they appear to be copying some sort of official message, but get some words wrong, or tenses wrong. The sort of thing you would not expect people over here to screw up.
Use common sense, and *NEVER* click on anything you read in an email. Even if it comes from your bank. Call your bank or shop, directly, via phone, and ask for clarification. Email can be spoofed, or the source hacked. They don't hack phone exchanges yet.

phishing spam message.... had I followed the desires of he
or she who sent it they would now control my entire Google
Account, NOT just my gmail. Do notice the problem with their
email addy @BUDDIE.ME .... that is not an
official gmail addy quite obviously AND such messages as
this are not how Google operates and my account has not
been inactive.
DO NOT ever respond to this other than to
perhaps send them an F-bomb!
