2010: Strong high pressure and offshore flow led to all-time November record high temperatures on 11/3 and on this day.
At San Diego it reached 100° F on this day, the highest temperature on record in November, and the only time it has reached the century mark in November.
This was also the first time a 100° F reading was reached in more than 21 years.
In Riverside, the temperature of 99° F on 11/3 tied and the 101° F reading on this day broke all time November records.
On 11/3 it was 101° F in Santa Ana, equaling the highest November temperature on record.
And it was 96° F in Laguna Beach, the second highest November temperature on record.

1993: Santa Ana winds gusted to over 60 mph from 11.2 through this day.
The Old Topanga fire burned from Calabasas to the ocean consuming hundreds of homes.

1988: It was 74° F in Big Bear Lake, the highest temperature on record for November.
This also occurred on this day in 1984 and on 11.2.1977.

1987: Heavy rain and thunderstorms that started on this day and ended on 11.5 brought 2.02" to Palomar Mountain and 1.16" to San Diego.
Numerous roadways and intersections were flooded around San Diego.
A roof collapsed in San Diego.
Minor mud slides occurred on I-8 at SDSU, Mission Valley, and near Temecula.
Flash flooding stranded 8,000 in Death Valley.

1984: It was 74° F in Big Bear Lake, the highest temperature on record for November.
This also occurred on this day in 1988 and on 11.2.1977.

1980: It was 80° F in Idyllwild, the highest temperature on record for November.
This also occurred on 11.1.1999, 11.13.1999, 11.12.1967, and 11.2.1966.

1976: Mount Hamilton had a high temperature of 81° F -- a record for the month.

1976: The high temperature in San Diego was 97° F, the highest on record for November.

1973:
Of the first nine days in the month of November in Fresno, this is the only one to have a low temperature that has dropped below 32° F recorded (low on this date was 30° F).

1950: Lompoc hit 92° F, an all-time high for the month.

1935: The morning low temperature at Reno, NV was 7° F. The high for the day was 22° F which set a monthly record low high temperature.
