1999: A gust of 60 mph was reported at Palm Springs.

1997: Santa Ana winds that started on 12.10 and ended on 12.12 gusted to 96 mph (unofficially) at Pine Valley and 87 mph at Upland.
Two were killed from flying debris.
Property damage occurred in Sun City.
Crop damage also occurred.
Boats were damaged and sunk at Coronado and Avalon harbors.

1996: Heavy rain brought roadway flooding to many streets in San Mateo, including Hwy 101.

1992: A F0 tornado touched down in vineyard near Easton in Fresno County.
Three funnel clouds were observed in the Valley: near Visalia, Madera and Clovis.

1989: Strong Santa Ana winds produced gusts to 100 mph near the Grapevine.
The winds reduced visibilities to near zero in the desert areas, and closed major interstate highways east of Ontario.

1989: Wind gusts to 100 mph in the south end of the San Joaquin Valley in Kern County near the Grapevine.

1985: A cold storm starting on 12.10 and ending on this day brought heavy snow to the mountains and light snow to lower elevations.
17" fell in in Mt. Laguna, 15" in Julian, 12" in Palomar Mountain, and up to 4" in Victorville and Warner Springs.
Highways and schools were closed in the mountains and in parts of the upper desert.

1983: Funnel cloud was sighted southeast of the Fresno Air Terminal.

1972: A very cold morning across the region.
The morning low at Truckee was -20° F.
Carson City, NV had a morning low temperature of -18° F, while the morning low at both Reno, NV.
Tahoe City set its all-time record low with a reading of -16° F.

1972: The high temperature in Victorville was 32° F, the lowest high temperature on record.
This also occurred on 1.30.1957 and 12.15.1957.

1943: A big storm brought copious rain to all areas of Southern California and setting numerous daily rainfall records.
3.49" of rain fell in Riverside, the greatest daily amount on record.

1932: Greatest snow ever in December in Bakersfield from the 10th-11th.
Meadows Field measured 3.0" and 4.0" fell at the Santa Fe Rail Depot.
Porterville recorded 2.0".
Only a trace at Fresno.

1932: 1" of snow in the City of San Francisco.

1906: 24" of snow fell at Susanville, with 20" at Boca.
