If you check the site, you'll see that (my shorthand version):
1st degree - typical sunburn, red hot, dry
2nd degree - boiling water splash, severe sunburn, with blisters
3rd degree - full depth burn, skin damaged full thickness
4th degree - charring
For dessert, Google "The rule of nines" concerning burns. Then you'll know more than you wanted. ;o)
