Imagen activaGuatemala, May 12 (Prensa Latina) Today the Fuego volcano recorded 26 explosions, from weak to moderate, and columns of ash raised up to more than four thousand 600 meters above sea level, an official source announced.

The Colossus, located at 50 kilometers รก�-o the southwest of this capital, recorded incandescent pulses 150 meters above the crater, weak and moderate avalanches, the National Institute of seismology, volcanology, meteorology and hydrology informed(Insivumeh).

Furthermore, Pacaya volcano, closer to the capital, recorded a weak white fumarole about two thousand 700 meters above sea level, drifting 500 meters, the scientific source reported in its most recent bulletin.

At the same time,the Santiaguito volcano, located in the southwestern Department of Quetzaltenango, shows activity with white smoke two thousand 800 meters above the sea level.

The Executive Secretariat of the Conred recommended to the residents in areas close to the three volcanoes to pay close attention to the authorities reports informed by the media.

The Government institution recommended to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation take the necessary precautions for air navigation in areas close to these mountains with eruption activity.
